Latest Updates from Our Project:

Latest PC Engine/TG16-CD DOWNLOAD!!
over 7 years ago – Fri, Oct 07, 2016 at 11:25:00 PM

Download the PC Engine/TuboGrafx 16 3-stage demo now! >>> HENSHIN ENGINE PCE/TG16 DEMO!!

The zip file contains the BIN/CUE files you will need to burn the game demo. you can use programs such as ImgBurn (which is free) to burn the files to disc. It is recommended that you burn at the slowest speed possible if you are planning to play it in your PC Engine or TurboGrafx-16 game console.

Don't have a PC Engine/TuboGrafx 16? No problem! Play the game with the Magic Engine for your PC for a more straight-forward emulation experience. Or for those who don't mind a little configuration, try out Mednafen which has PC Engine support.

Give it a whirl! More news to follow soon! :D

We made it to the end, folks! And not only did we make our initial funding goal, but we made enough to fund some extras as well! We can't thank you all enough for helping us make this dream come true. We will continue our work to bring you the best game our team can do!  We will be posting the poll in the next coming days to vote on which console we will be making Henshin Engine for after we complete the DC release. so stay tuned! Many updates to soon follow. THANKS!!!

PLEASE READ! SNES version/Cart version stretchgoals
over 7 years ago – Thu, Oct 06, 2016 at 12:45:52 PM

So we are not far from hitting our next stretch goal to include cart versions of Henshin Engine. However, we got the last few emails from the parties interested in assisting with these ports and the news was not good regarding the SNES version. As it stands, porting the SNES version of HE would not realistically fit within this budget and therefore we will have to take it off the table. We're sorry to those who were looking forward to an SNES version of it and will only be able to offer it for the Genesis/Mega Drive and Gameboy as far as cart version go and the Sega CD. Once again, we apologize for this and hoped this version would have fallen within a similar budget, but as it stands, it seems that programming for the SNES is something that cannot be done on a modest budget of a few grand and have been quoted 5 figures for this version more than once which is just not possible. If there is a genuine interest in this version, we may consider it in the future and may try some other source of funding for this version but for now, it's not within our reach. We're very sorry and hope that the majority can be happy with one of the other ports assuming the stretch goal is met which would be projected for a 2018 release after the DC version.

Thank You.

Less than a day left! Added tier!
over 7 years ago – Thu, Oct 06, 2016 at 03:11:49 AM

So we've got less than a day left and we're super happy to have gotten this far! We also wanted to announce the **PHYSICAL PLUS DIGITAL DOWNLOAD**  tier for those who wanted just the game and a physical download. Especially for those of you waiting on the DC version, this would give you a way to play some Henshin while you wait for your favorite version!

So much excitement! We will update you all again when the campaign comes to a close. THANK YOU!

Dreamcast info and port specifics! ( ^-^)b
over 7 years ago – Wed, Oct 05, 2016 at 11:21:13 AM

Hi all! Seems we've been getting lots of inquiries regarding the DC port and what differences it will have between the PC Engine and PC versions. Basically, the DC version will be similar to it's PC counterpart in terms of visuals. Some of the things we are planning for the DC version in specific is an animated transformation scene. Higher resolution cut-scene images and portrait images along with a gallery mode containing much of the in-game art and featured art and a sound test mode, etc. The game will look and play essentially the same as the original (because updating the in-game graphics would require the team to re-write the entire game which is not in the budget and would no longer just be a 'port' at that point but a remake) but will  not suffer any of the flicker or slowdown seen presently in the PC Engine version. Although our team is mostly experienced with PC Engine/Turbo and the PC development, we are looking to dive deeper into Dreamcast development for future 2D projects. Look forward to more updates as we progress!

Thank You!
